What do you see in the ink?
The ink-blot party game for 3 to 10 friends in the same room, each on their own phone. Everyone gets the same blot. Nobody sees the same thing.

How to play
Look. Write. Show. Argue.
One phone each, one room, one fresh blot. The host starts a game and everyone joins with a four-letter code.

Pick a blot
Three brand-new ink blots appear. Swipe through them and vote for the one you want to play.

Write what you see
Tap the blot to drop a pin and name it: a bat, a dancing bear, your uncle's moustache. Or add something you see in the whole board.

Show everyone
Take turns presenting. Pan, zoom and circle it with the yellow highlighter. Every phone follows along.

One person taps Create game and becomes the host. Everyone else taps Join game and either:
- types the four-letter room code shown on the host's phone,
- scans the QR code on the host's phone, or
- opens the join link the host shares, like
blottwist.app/j/BKTZ. With the app installed, the link opens the room directly.
Does it need the internet?
Yes. Every phone needs a connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) while you play: the game runs on our server so iPhones and Android phones can play together. If a phone drops out, it rejoins where it left off.
How many people can play?
3 to 10 players, each on their own phone, all in the same room. It's made for talking, pointing and arguing in person.
Do I need an account?
No. Pick a name when you join and you're in. We don't ask for an email, a password or your contacts.
Is it family-friendly?
The family filter is on by default: rude words in findings are masked for everyone, and rude names are refused. The host can turn the filter off for grown-up games. To report or block a player, long-press their name or one of their findings.
What about my data?
There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Games live on the server only while they run. The details are in our privacy policy.
